Most lawns we take on look like the left photo when we start — compacted, uneven, mostly dirt where snow sat too long. Aeration, overseeding, and a few weeks of care does what a one-time mow never can.

The vetting bar
How a Zulma cleaner gets to your door.
Every crew member clears each of these before their first paid booking. No exceptions, no “trial runs” on real customer homes.
Background check
Criminal record check (vulnerable sector for cleaners going into private homes). Verified and re-run yearly.
WHMIS + safe handling
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System certification — required for anyone handling commercial cleaning chemicals. Renewed every 3 years.
Insured + bonded
Every crew member is covered under our $2M Commercial General Liability policy. Cleaners working alone in homes are also bonded.
Two reference checks
Two prior employers or clients we actually call — not boilerplate forms. The point isn't credentials, it's whether someone is reliable and respectful in someone's home.
Skills check on a real home
Their first booking is shadowed by a senior crew member. They don't take their own jobs until they pass.
Ongoing rating bar
Crew need to maintain 4.7★ minimum across their last 20 jobs. Below that and they're paused for retraining or removed.
